A friend's ex landlady has been forwarding my info onto people my friend should be dealing with?

I am living with a friend and have been for a while now. When he moved in, his ex landlady kept contacting me and not my friend about issues to do with the house etc. Even a few months on, I am getting phonecalls from his old local council, as the landlady has forwarded my info onto them. Is this allowed surely, as my friend's affairs surely have nothing to do with me, even though he is living with me? The landlady went into the flat of my friend without his permission and read a letter I had written him which contained my address and phone number and she has been forwarding this info on. Is this allowed?
