Occult, witchcraft, spell use of broad beans?

I'm freaking out because this is the third white broad bean that I've found under my table on the floor in my lovely room. I share the house with the landlady but she had her evil friend move into the other room and weird things and weird vibes have been happening since Christmas. She moved from an impoverished community (she said) and the fact that she told me her mom can sense evil spirits and ward them off (she claims her mom told her not to come home because she brought something with her) it all gives me the creeps. Though she looks innocent I just thing she's plain manipulative and evil. This is the third broad bean I'm finding under the table near my window. I don't eat beans and I always lock my door when I'm away, so why do I keep finding them in my room???? My bf is the only one who visits my room and he is just as puzzled.
