Will Teachers Get Paid More in the Future?

Many people know that teachers are underpaid and under appreciated (and if you say otherwise, I doubt that you have ever understood the work that teachers really go through). That being said, do you think in the (near) future the salary of teachers will increase significantly? Do you think someone like Obama or another future president would make this happen? After all, in many other countries teachers are paid very well (although they do have to go through more education). What are your opinions on this?
